WHO WE ARE
APEL Health Services is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to health wellness & disease prevention. APEL targets both Adult and Youth at risk populations within core city neighborhoods, many medically underserved, in Duval County, Florida. APEL provides health literacy, risk assessments, screenings and test in order to minimize chronic illnesses and improve the quality life among the African American communities.
The agency mission is to reduce health disparities in at risk population through health education and literacy. Founded as an HIV/AIDS church ministry, APEL has provided HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, counseling and linkage for over 10 years and served thousands of residents in Northeast Florida.
